George Turvey

George is an actor and director based in London. He is artistic director of the Oliver Award winning Papatango Theatre Company, who champion new writing. George recently directed ‘Shook’ by Samuel Bailey which received 5* reviews, and was nominated for seven Off-West End Awards including Best Director and Best Production. In January 2022 George was chosen as one of The Stage 25, a list of 25 theatre-makers The Stage believes will go on to great things over the next quarter-century and become stalwarts of future editions of The Stage 100.
